Dear Locust Parents and Guardians,

Welcome! My name is Ms. Chavarin, and I am honored to serve as your school counselor within the Locust community.

As your school counselor, I will provide support services aimed at enhancing academic achievement, social/emotional development, and college and career readiness for all students through a comprehensive and data-driven counseling program.

 I am passionate about advocating for students and building supportive relationships that make a difference in their lives. Part of striving for student success involves strengthening collaborative partnerships with parents, educators, and community stakeholders. I believe that by working as a team, we can empower students through positive relationships, guiding them through important developmental stages.

My goal is to promote a safe and welcoming environment where students feel a sense of belonging, encouraging them to learn, self-regulate, and explore their academic and career inclinations. By removing barriers and promoting access and equity for all students, Locust scholars can thrive. Together, we can help students become well-rounded individuals who meet their personal and educational aspirations.
