Dear Locust Families,

Welcome back to a brand-new school year! I hope this letter finds you and your family well-rested, recharged, and ready for an exciting year of learning and growth. It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome both our returning families and those who are new to our school community.

As your principal, I am honored to continue serving this incredible school. Our focus remains on fostering a love of learning, building strong relationships, and supporting the academic and social-emotional development of every child.

Here are a few important reminders as we begin the school year:

• Log in to ParentQ Connect (Parent Portal) to complete the Annual Information Update prior to the first day of school.

• TK/Kindergarten Orientation: Tuesday, August 5th 2:30 – 3:30 in MPR/Cafeteria
• First Day of School: Wednesday, August 6th (Minimum Day 7:45 am - 11:50 am)
• Back to School Night: Thursday, August 7th 5:30-6:30 
  • Principal Welcome and Informational Parent Meeting 5:00-5:30 pm
• School Hours: 7:45 am – 2:20 pm (M, T, Th, F); 7:45 am – 11:50 am (Wednesdays)
• Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures: Please use inside lane for drop off and pick up, and use the outside lane for thru traffic. Please do not leave your vehicle parked in the drop off/pick up area. Please find a parking space if you need to leave your vehicle.

• Locust Pride Rally for August: August 29
